On Monday, 16/06/1441 A.H. corresponding to 10/02/2020, the ETEC
Board of Directors held its first meeting (2nd Session) under the chairmanship of HE Dr. Ahmed Bin Mohamed Al-Eissa at ETEC’s headquarters in Riyadh. The meeting was attended by HE Dr. Hossam bin Abdel-Wahab Zaman, the Deputy Chairman, in addition to their excellency the board members.
At the beginning of the meeting, HE the Chairman of the Board paid due gratitude and appreciation to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and HRH the Crown Prince for issuing the High Order approving the formation of ETEC’s Board of Directors in its 2nd Session, praising the great and continuous support received by the education sector in general, and ETEC in particular, which promotes its development projects aiming at improving education and training and raising their quality and adequacy.
HE mentioned, as well, the significant steps made by ETEC throughout the last few months on all organizational, administrative and technical levels, thanking at the same time HE the President of ETEC and the previous members of the board for their contributions to the board work. He also expressed thanks to members of the executive committee, the review committee, and the teams of experts, leaders and officials of ETEC for their great efforts in setting regulations, work models, administrative structures, frameworks and criteria.
HE emphasized the importance of ETEC’s future roles that will contribute to achieving the goals of Kingdom Vision 2030, calling for the continuation of all efforts geared towards promotion of complementary work with relative entities. He also welcomed the board members whose membership was renewed as well as the newly appointed members.
The Board discussed various subjects, including the ETEC’s annual financial report 2019, the international conference on improving education and training 2020 which is planned to be held on the sidelines of the G20 Summit, and some administrative and financial issues. The Board, also, approved the main instrument of the National Qualification Framework, in addition to some frameworks, regulations and instruments related to ETEC’s work. At the end of the meeting, the ETEC’s unified website was launched.
