 Establishment

​​​​​

​The Council of Ministers issued its Resolution No. 94 dated 7/2/1438H to approve the regulations for ETEC, which stipulates that ETEC shall be the body concerned with the accreditation and assessment of education and training in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with the aim of enhancing their quality and improving their efficiency, as well as their contribution to national economy and development.

 

The National Center for Academic Accreditation and Evaluation is one of the centers overseen by ETEC. The Center is a continuation of the National Commission for Academic Accreditation and Assessment, which was established pursuant to High Order No. 7/B/6024 dated 9/2/1424H with a legal personality and administrative and financial autonomy. The Commission acted as the body in charge of academic accreditation and quality assurance in public and private higher education institutions.

Supporting, evaluating, and accrediting higher education institutions and programs through the implementation of objective and transparent systems and procedures with the aim of securing local and international confidence in the outcomes of these institutions and programs
