Accreditation as a Launching Pad for Improvement

Accreditation as a Launching Pad for Improvement

Description

The workshop will be a 90-minute webinar that will explore such areas as:
  • Why faculty members so often resist becoming involved in accreditation activities.
  • How that resistance may be overcome.
  • Why the concept of a Quality Improvement Plan (QIP) is valuable to the accreditation process.
  • The topics for a QIP that are most likely to receive strong faculty support.
  • How to align accreditation more fully with strategic planning.
  • The challenge of sustainability and efficiency in higher education today and how accreditation can best address those challenges.
The webinar will mix presentation of material with exercises, including discussions (conducted through chat box text), development of a suitable topic for a QIP, and short case study analyses.
